The Elkhart County Symphony’s landmark 78th season begins September 7 with “Classics at the Woodland” at the City of Elkhart’s Wellfield Botanic Gardens. The five-concert 2025-26 season presents three additional performances at The Lerner Theatre, as well as the Symphony’s annual performance at Sauder Concert Hall at the Goshen College Music Center. Season 78 of the Elkhart County Symphony features talented guest soloists, dynamic community collaborations, and a groundbreaking, unforgettable holiday collaboration with the one and only GIRL NAMED TOM to celebrate The Lerner’s 100th Anniversary!
 

Classics at the Woodland – September 7th
At the season premier, the Symphony performs Mozart’s Overture from Marriage of FigaroIntermezzo from Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), L’Arlésienne Suite No. 2 (Bizet/Guiraud), and Festive Overture (Shostakovich). The Symphony’s principal horn, Debra Inglefield, is featured performing Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4 in E flat.

A Classical Christmas: Girl Named Tom & The Elkhart County Symphony – November 23rd
The Elkhart County Symphony, with special guest Girl Named Tom, performs Nov. 23 at The Lerner Theatre for a special holiday concert presented in partnership with the City of Elkhart and The Lerner 100 Year Anniversary and sponsored by the Elkhart County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The concert features a monumental holiday performance by the Elkhart County Symphony, and a collaboration with Girl Named Tom.

Northern Expressions – February 15th
On Feb. 15, 2026, the Symphony presents “Northern Expressions” at Sauder Concert Hall on the campus of Goshen College. The concert features guest soloist Aleck Belcher on bass and includes performances of Koussevitzky’s Double Bass Concerto and Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 43 by Sibelius.

Echoes of Fate – March 29th
“Echoes of Fate,” March 29, 2026 at The Lerner Theatre, features guest soloist Michail Thompson, assistant principal trumpet with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington D.C., and presents a side-by-side collaboration between the Elkhart County Symphony and the Concord High School Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, the Symphony performs Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op 36.

Exhale & Celebrate – May 17th
The Elkhart County Symphony closes out the 2025-26 season with “Exhale & Celebrate,” featuring guest soloist Caitlin Edwards. Edwards, a classically trained violinist inspired by gospel, jazz, hip-hop, and neo-soul, performs music from her album Exhale, and the Symphony performs Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol.

Patron bags exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches by 6 inches (14” x 14” x 6″) are not permitted inside The Lerner. The term “bags” includes, without limitation, backpacks, briefcases, luggage, duffel bags, musical instrument cases, purses, boxes, packages and carry-alls.

All bags are subject to search at the discretion of management and/or security personnel. Exceptions are made for bags used to carry medical equipment and diaper bags for customers with small children.

Guests with prohibited items will be turned away from the entrances to return items to their vehicles or to dispose of them.

No storage or “check in area” will be provided for prohibited items. Lerner management reserves the right to deny any item it deems to be a safety hazard.
