In light of recently released guidance from the CDC, effective immediately, only the unvaccinated will need to be masked for all events at The Lerner Theatre. This means that if you are fully vaccinated, masks are no longer required. For the unvaccinated, masks are required, and will be relied upon by personal responsibility.

Additionally, with local health orders being overridden at the state level, capacity restrictions are also lifted for all indoor and outdoor events. Some shows and events have opted to continue social distancing their show. If the show lifts social distancing, all ticket holders will be emailed.

Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test or other requirements are listed on our COVID-19 FAQ page and are on a show-by-show basis at the request of the artist.

If you feel you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are displaying symptoms, we ask you to please stay at home. For a list of possible symptoms, please visit for more information and resources. Continue to wash hands, sanitize, and mask-up when necessary.

The Lerner Theatre, an Elkhart landmark, is part of a revival, a new era for the arts, commerce and life in the heart of our community. The Lerner Theatre is a city owned and operated facility, built in 1924. With the completion of an $18-million-dollar renovation in 2011, The Lerner Theatre has truly put the “heart” back in downtown Elkhart. The Lerner is evidence of this rebirth with its timeless, never-lost quality of an old theatre reborn as a state of the art performance and event facility.

Driving from the South
Head North on State Rd 19, turn right onto Franklin Street to The Lerner (South East corner of Franklin and Main).

Driving from the North
Head South on State Rd 19 (Cassopolis Street) to Bristol Street. Continue West on Bristol, then turn left onto Main Street to The Lerner (South East corner of Franklin and Main).


Free Public Parking Available

Free parking is available adjacent to The Lerner in the Civic Plaza Public Parking area and Marion Street Parking Garage - click to enlarge photo.

Private parking in the Downtown Elkhart area for unauthorized vehicles are subject to towing at vehicle owner's expense and risk.
