
Slavic Masterworks – Sunday, November 17th at 4:00 PM
Korean-American Pianist Minju Choi Witte is the guest soloist as the Elkhart County Symphony presents Slavic Masterworks, Nov. 17, at The Lerner Theatre in Elkhart. The dynamic and delightful repertoire includes Rachmaninoff, Piano Concerto No. 2 in c minor, Op. 18; Guest Soloist, Minju Choi Witte; and Dvorak, Symphony No. 8 in G Major, Op. 88. Choi Witte has performed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia as a recitalist, orchestral soloist, and chamber musician. She has appeared as a soloist with the Indianapolis and Shreveport Symphonies, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, the Music Academy of the West, and Juilliard Orchestras.
Mahler 2, Resurrection – Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Mahler 2, Resurrection—Feb. 2 at Sauder Concert Hall at the Goshen College Music Center— features a moving collaboration with local choral ensemble Camerata Singers and the Goshen College Choirs. This annual concert at Sauder Concert Hall, a cherished community tradition, presents a repertoire including Mahler, Symphony No. 2 ‘Resurrection’ in C minor. The Camerata Singers, originally founded in 1975 in Elkhart, performed at the 2008 ACDA regional convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and—in 2014—performed Thomas Tallis’s 40-voice Spem in Alium to celebrate the group’s 40th anniversary.
Passion and Poetry – Sunday, March 30th, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Passion and Poetry, March 30 at The Lerner Theatre, presents a captivating side-by-side concert with the Goshen High School Symphony Orchestra. The performance brings together established and budding musicians from all throughout Elkhart County, and guides the audience through a repertoire including Suppe, Poet & Peasant Overture; Hanson, Symphony No. 2, Op. 30 ‘Romantic’; and collaborative work(s) with the Goshen High School Symphony.
rebelSYMPHnoire – Sunday, May 18th, 2025 at 4:00 PM
rebelSYMPHnoire, May 18 at The Lerner Theatre, features guest performer rebel noire and the accomplices—a local Eclectic Rock/Spoken Word ensemble that creates original songs exploring themes of power, resistance, and the complex textures of human love. The repertoire for this exciting season finale includes Ethel Smyth, Boatswain’s Mate Overture; Choi, Arirang Fantasy; Theofanidis, Rainbow Body; and works by rebel noir and the accomplices.
