For years, the Elkhart County Symphony Orchestra has dreamed of creating a concert experience that fully immerses audiences in the magic of film music. In Season 79, that vision finally arrives.
Cinematic Symphony transforms The Lerner Theatre into a celebration of some of the most beloved movie music ever written, pairing iconic orchestral scores with visual elements designed to strengthen the emotional connection between music and the cinematic stories audiences know and love.
Featuring music from Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and more, the concert embraces the thrill, adventure, wonder, and nostalgia that film music uniquely delivers.
The evening will be led by acclaimed guest conductor Michael Stern, internationally recognized for his dynamic programming and longstanding leadership with the Kansas City Symphony and orchestras throughout the United States and Europe.
The concert will also feature the winner of the recently revived Youth Concerto Competition, continuing the Symphony’s commitment to developing young artists and providing transformative performance opportunities for emerging musicians.
Energetic, family-friendly, and visually engaging, Cinematic Symphony offers one of the season’s most accessible and uplifting evenings of music-making.

Patron bags exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches by 6 inches (14” x 14” x 6″) are not permitted inside The Lerner. The term “bags” includes, without limitation, backpacks, briefcases, luggage, duffel bags, musical instrument cases, purses, boxes, packages and carry-alls.
All bags are subject to search at the discretion of management and/or security personnel. Exceptions are made for bags used to carry medical equipment and diaper bags for customers with small children.
Guests with prohibited items will be turned away from the entrances to return items to their vehicles or to dispose of them.
No storage or “check in area” will be provided for prohibited items. Lerner management reserves the right to deny any item it deems to be a safety hazard.
