Grammy-winning producer, guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli performs with Truth In Jazz to headline the closing day of the 38th Elkhart Jazz Festival, presented by the Elkhart County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Pizzarelli, a fan favorite in Elkhart, has just released “Dear Mr. Bennett,” a heartfelt tribute to the late Tony Bennett, with bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson performing those timeless songs. John’s father, Bucky, was a frequent sideman for the legendary singer, appearing on two Bennett albums of the 1960s.

Truth in Jazz was founded in 1998 by The Elkhart Truth. This big band can handle everything from swing classics to new arrangements, and features local educators, professional musicians, and workers within Elkhart’s robust instrument industry.
