
The Lerner Theatre is proud to announce the return of The Lerner Loves You, a free community movie series created as a heartfelt thank-you to the people of Elkhart and surrounding communities. Made possible by the Elkhart County CVB, the series invites audiences to gather once again inside the iconic downtown venue for shared moments of cinema, connection, and joy.
Join us for “The Lion King”. A lion cub named Simba looks forward to following in his father’s footsteps and becoming king of the African pride lands one day, but his happy childhood turns tragic when his uncle murders his father and drives him into exile.

The historic Lerner Theatre, a beloved centerpiece and cultural treasure of Downtown Elkhart, is proud to announce the return of The Lerner Loves You, a free community movie series created as a heartfelt thank-you to the people of Elkhart and surrounding communities. Made possible by the Elkhart County CVB, the series invites audiences to gather once again inside the iconic downtown venue for shared moments of cinema, connection, and joy.
Building on the success of its inaugural run, The Lerner Loves You continues The Lerner Theatre’s long tradition as a gathering place for moviegoers—dating back to its early days as “The ELCO.” This special series features a thoughtfully curated selection of beloved films from across generations, celebrating storytelling, culture, and the magic of seeing movies together on the big screen.
The series will take place monthly on select Sunday afternoons at 3:00 pm, February until May and then continuing from October until December, offering audiences the chance to enjoy films on the Lerner’s grand screen free of charge. Each film will be shown in the Lerner Theatre’s auditorium, inviting guests to experience the magic of cinema in a setting like no other. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Patron bags exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches by 6 inches (14” x 14” x 6″) are not permitted inside The Lerner. The term “bags” includes, without limitation, backpacks, briefcases, luggage, duffel bags, musical instrument cases, purses, boxes, packages and carry-alls.
All bags are subject to search at the discretion of management and/or security personnel. Exceptions are made for bags used to carry medical equipment and diaper bags for customers with small children.
Guests with prohibited items will be turned away from the entrances to return items to their vehicles or to dispose of them.
No storage or “check in area” will be provided for prohibited items. Lerner management reserves the right to deny any item it deems to be a safety hazard.
