SUMMARY:Friends of The Lerner presents: Catapult - Magic Shadows
DESCRIPTION:Get Tickets\n \n Ticket & Hotel Packages\n \n \n \n \n \n \nCatapult is\, technically\, a shadow dance company. What it really is: a theatrical art form that is an amazingly imaginative combination of dance\, story-telling\, and sculpture. Founded in 2009\, by Adam Battlestein (choreographer\, Creative Director and Master Teaching Artist for Pilobolus Dance Theatre for 19 years)\, Catapult catapulted to fame on Season 8 of America’s Got Talent\, earning their way to the finals of the NBC-TV hit show. \nCatapult is all about the human body and its ability to transform. The talented Catapult dancers work behind a screen to create seemingly impossible dancing shadow silhouettes of shapes from the world around us. You won’t believe your eyes as you watch these incredible dancers become a mountain\, a full size elephant\, a helicopter\, a house with a window and people inside the window. You will never figure out how they do it\, and you won’t know what they will make next – you will be surprised and delighted again and again. Audiences of all ages love what appear to be effortless transformations and applaud over and over as more and more unbelievable images appear. \nCatapult’s “Magic Shadows” show is packed with hundreds of shape transformations\, and it is full of humor\, emotion\, and fully realized stories engagingly told through music and shadows.  With the arc of an arm\, the point of a toe or the twist of a torso\, Catapult’s dancers stretch their bodies\, and your imaginations\, telling stories with humor and pathos by transforming magically from one shape to another. See Vivaldi’s Four Seasons spring to life\, be amazed as you watch their bodies transform into a mountain\, an elephant\, a dragon even a helicopter\, and travel the world from Paris to Beijing in under 10 minutes! Animated by the dancers’ shadows\, every cinematic scene in Magic Shadows is a kaleidoscope of colorful storytelling that will awe and astound you. A great show for the whole family – full of laughs\, emotions and miraculous transformations.  You will leave this show dazed and happy\, and you will never look at your own shadow the same way again! \n\n \n Get Tickets\n \n Ticket & Hotel Packages

SUMMARY:Elkhart County Symphony - Verdi Requiem
DESCRIPTION:Get Elkhart County Symphony Tickets\n \n \n \n \n \n \nVerdi Requiem – Feb. 14\, 2027Sauder Concert Hall\, Goshen College Music Center\nThe emotional and artistic centerpiece of Season 79 arrives in February with Verdi’s monumental Messa da Requiem\, one of the most powerful choral-orchestral works ever written. \nThis annual Sauder Concert Hall performance\, presenting collaborations with the Camerata Singers and Goshen College Choirs\, continues one of the Symphony’s most cherished traditions while elevating the scale and ambition to extraordinary heights. \nComparable in emotional scope and significance to monumental works such as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony\, Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony\, and Mozart’s Requiem\, Verdi’s masterpiece combines operatic intensity with spiritual gravity in a work that remains among the most overwhelming live experiences in classical music. \nThe performance will feature soloists Jenny Ribeiro and Goshen College faculty members Roz Woll and Scott Hochstetler. The Camerata Singers will additionally be featured as an ensemble—performing their own work—with the support of the Symphony\, further highlighting the collaborative spirit at the heart of the evening. \nWith its thunderous drama\, immense vocal demands\, and deeply human emotional range\, Verdi Requiem stands as one of the defining artistic statements of the season—and one of the largest productions the Symphony has undertaken in recent years. \nAs audiences know well\, the Symphony’s annual Goshen College performances at Sauder Concert Hall frequently sell out well in advance! \nRepertoire Highlights\n\nVerdi — Messa da Requiem\nAdditional selections featuring the Camerata Singers\n\nIndividual tickets for Elkhart County Symphony – Verdi Requiem will be sold through the Goshen College Box Office and are available January 1st at 9:00 a.m. All other Elkhart County Symphony tickets will be sold through The Lerner Theatre Box Office and Ticketmaster.com.  \n\n \n Get Elkhart County Symphony Tickets
