GRAMMY® nominees Midland have sought to reintroduce the Western plains, Laurel Canyon-cum-Bakersfield and Lone Star honky tonks to Country music since coming together at a friend’s wedding over common influences and the need for a return to this sort of post-Urban Cowboy Country. For lead singer Mark Wystrach, bassist/vocalist Cameron Duddy and guitarist/vocalist Jess Carson, the five-times platinum hit “Drinkin’ Problem” set the stage for their critically acclaimed On The Rocks and No. 1 Billboard Top Country Albums debut Let It Roll to unite classic country fans, hipsters and media including Entertainment Weekly, GQ, The Washington Post, Vogue, Esquire, Variety, Rolling Stone and NPR. Based in Dripping Springs, Texas, the trio of songwriters who developed their sound at Tornillo, Texas’ storied Sonic Ranch have been building a following that’s sold-out the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show, packed a multiple-night stand at Ft. Worth’s iconic Billy Bob’s and re-opened North Hollywood’s legendary Palomino Club for one night only. Bringing listeners a resurgence of their thick harmonies, sad melodies, tart lyrics and steel guitar with their critically-acclaimed Dave Cobb-produced album Barely Blue (Big Machine Records), the retro-Nuevo trio has grown from bar band to an in-demand headliner. Born and raised in Saint Louis, Matt Jordan is an original country artist who splits time between his hometown and Nashville and is making waves in the national country music scene.
American Songwriter compared him to Eric Church while The Boot compared him to Bruce Springsteen. He’s also garnered attention from Rolling Stone Country, CMT, Taste of Country, Raised Rowdy, and Sounds Like Nashville among others.
With a high energy live show and unique heartland-rock-meets-country sound, Matt has been asked to open for artists like Travis Tritt, Chris Young, Kip Moore, Granger Smith and dozens of others and had his music placed on Spotify Editorial Playlists like Country Rocks, New Music Friday Country, Next From Nashville and Fresh Finds: Country.
Matt released his debut full length album, “The Gamble” in 2022. His single “Wrangler” was shared on the official Jeep Instagram and Tik Tok profiles and featured on Shawn Parr’s Across The Country, a syndicated radio show airing in 54 markets across the United States. His second full length album, “Low Lights” was released in February 2024.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
American Songwriter’s Jason Scott proclaims: “Jordan carries with him a very similar rock-informed country style ─ almost feeling like Eric Church with an outlaw bravado. ‘Smoke’ is unapologetically radio-ready, from its infectious hook and polished exterior. And more than anything, his voice remains tried and true, unique enough to stand firmly on its own.”
The Boot speaks of his style as “a bit of Bruce Springsteen in Jordan’s vaguely raspy vocals…. A heartland rock-influenced bit of nostalgia.
Sounds Like Nashville’s Annie Reuter wrote: “Jordan’s whiskey soaked vocals combined with Brooker’s cosmic lyrical imagery paints the picture of a young couple seeking adventure far away from their hometown. The descriptive verses and warm guitar parts intrigue and as the song picks up the listener is along for the ride thanks to a rollicking beat and arena-ready chorus.”

Jake Miller and The Midwest Heat are a dynamic band at the intersection of country, blues, and rock ‘n roll. Formed in the heartland of Indiana, U.S., this ensemble brings together the raw energy of classic rock with the storytelling richness of American roots music. The band fluctuates in size depending on the occasion, but whether performing solo, as a duo, trio, or even up to an eight piece band, the music and storytelling is the focus. They are celebrated for their high-energy live shows and their ability to seamlessly blend music across decades and genres. Their motto is “A good song is a good song” and don’t limit themselves to any one genre or time period. Their music resonates with audiences through their authentic, heartfelt delivery and their ability to evoke a wide range of emotions, from raucous joy to introspective melancholy.
