Late Night Live! Free Concert Featuring Lalo Cura
Wednesday, May 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
Taking place during Elkhart ArtWalk Wednesday!
Latin-Soul Fusion band Lalo Cura is a powerhouse band whose name (phonetically translated to “the madness”) barely contains its acrobatic lead lines and virtuosic playing style. Their sonic signature is lead by Spanish vocals that explore human experiences such as love, sociopolitical issues, and heartbreak.
Lalo Cura made a splash on May 1, 2020 with its release of LIVE, a fun and energetic recording of a concert in late 2019. As new realities formed in 2020, Lalo Cura turned back to its tradition of story telling by releasing a song called Franjas & Estrellas (Stars & Stripes). The song recounts the stories and sins of a place where people seek justice for police brutalities and other injustices towards people of color, a theme all too familiar in our current time.
